Seeing as we have changed forums, I figured I would post all of phases images here again so we don't lose them.

Consider this the official continuation of the thread on the old forums.

No new photos this week, but I did meet some crazy canadian here who owns a gaming shop. w00t for english speakers and technology.

Got another story this week. I normally wouldn't be on on other days but my companion is feeling depressed and needs to talk to his family about stuff that went down here, and the president. So here is a short post

The stuff that went down is an Inactive that he re-actived to the church and is pretty much like a mother to him now just killed somebody. We don't quite know the full story, he kinda spaced out when we went to visit her because he was so mad and scared of what is going to happen to her. You can only visit on sundays and wednesdays but of course we got in at a time not allowed hehe.

She has a grandaughter that is the sweetest thing I have ever seen (age 9), and now the family of the dead are trying to kill her family while she's in jail, that's just messed up, you have no idea how mad I am just thinking about that. We went to get the daughter but I think they ran to the capital, I just hope they're safe right now.

It's really taking a toll on my companion because he knew her really well, she paid her tithing, always invited us over, and has a strong testimony. I'll see if I can get the full story and some hope next week.

Well, I think I have pink eye at the moment (or that's what some dominican doctor says without looking at me) so I wont be on long. My eye is currently killing me and I just spent 225 pesos to buy some medication for it and it's some general medication crap. We'll see if it works or not.

I don't really want to spread it around to much hence the short email, need to wipe down the keyboard and call presidents wife to see if she wants to do anything with me. I don't know if I trust the dominicans and their advice.

For those who haven't heard a few weeks ago a member killed somebody. Here is her story:

She was sitting there cutting her pants and started argueing with her neighbor while she had a kid in her lap. The dead asked her daughter to get the kid so she could do something. The daughter got the kid and the dead walked up and was going to harm the member in some way. The only thing she had was a pair of scizors so she stabbed downward once. Apparently that was enough to eventually kill her. So now the daughter and her are in jail, wow my eye hurts....

all in all the mission is pretty awesome. I got a bunch of stuff written in my journal to write so hopefully next week I'll remember it and bring my camera to send a bunch of pictures.

We went to the beach saturday morning at like 5 AM, we actually had some investigators show up LoL. They were the family who will pretty much get baptized if they get officially married by law. While there at the beach I got some sweet pictures and some random bumps all over my legs, very very ichy, along with one other missionary who got them as well hehe. One bad thing after another huh?

ok, I need to go lie on the couch or something here. Maybe put this eye stuff in I got. The guy said to put it in twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. It's fun understanding a different language hehe.
